Reeling in the Ring of Gullion | Lúnasa Festival

12 Drumintee Road, Meigh, Newry, County Armagh, BT35 8SJ
Ring of Gullion

About

This special free event will celebrate the culture and heritage of the Ring of Gullion, for the #lunasafestival through film archives including:  harvesting flax, the show bands, local punk band who hailed from Meigh 'The Suburbanites'; and the Beatles interview in Killeen! We will be transported back in time through the theme of summer. It will be a wonderful night including popcorn 🍿.

Bronagh from Northern Ireland Screen is kindly sharing this special footage for the event in Ann’s quirky WW2 Nissen hut🌾💚🌞.

Afterwards we will have time for a chat to reflect on these evocative memoirs.

There is a suggested donation of £5 to support the conservation of the hut 🙏.
