Start an Aquatic Adventure

For something a little wilder, check out East Coast Adventure Centre. Based around Carlingford Lough, the centre caters to those with a more adventurous spirit seeking to get out onto the water.

With a choice of sea kayaking, canoeing, yachting and banana boating, East Coast Adventure centre is perfect for families who’d like to get a taste of everything. Even better, there’s no better backdrop for a boating trip than Carlingford Lough.

Experience Life on the Water

Cruise the lakes of Castlewellan at the Life Adventure Centre. You can choose one of the centre’s canoes and kayaks, or you might prefer to learn the art of raft building, and take your own craft out on the water.

To cool off afterwards, you’ll have complimentary use of the centre’s other facilities, including hot shower and changing rooms. Grab a warming cuppa at the onsite cafe, and use the free wifi to upload your pictures from the day’s activities.

Rock the Boat

Take your paddle board out at Castlewellan Lake with Life Adventure or go to Cranfield West with Geology Rocks Adventure Tourism or kayak around Carlingford Lough. You’ll love exploring the local area by water, and getting up close and personal with some of the Lough’s aquatic residents.

Of course, part of any watery adventure is creating memories. Geology Rocks provide photos and videos of every excursion, so you can enjoy the moment and still have something to look back on.

Paddle through the home of Northern Ireland’s friendliest seals at Strangford Lough. Clearsky Adventure Centre offers a range of water sports, including kayaking and a special canoe safari.
