The adventures begin for 2025 in Warrenpoint, with the awe-inspiring Wake the Giant festival. The legendary giant Fionn mac Cumhaill has welcomed two new Giant Guardians named Carley and Wee Binnian to the area and last year Fionn made a welcome return to Warrenpoint where he shared the tale of his temporary retreat to Cooley Mountain. This year, visitors can look forward to a weekend filled with live street theatre, music performances, artisanal food markets, craft workshops, and vibrant parades. This event promises a magical atmosphere that intertwines folklore with contemporary festivities.
Next on the calendar of Giant Events is the Eats and Beats festival in Newcastle County Down, a celebration that marries the region's burgeoning food scene with its rich musical heritage.
