  1. Heritage Tours
    Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is undertaking restoration works in the Annesley Gardens in Castlewellan Forest Park as part of ‘Re-Rooting our past in the Future: Castlewellan Historic Demesne’, project part funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
  2. EYFS and Key Stage 1
    Our Early Years and Key Stage 1 programme will capture the imagination of your young people. The Education Team includes lots of interactive elements and games to help each group make meaningful connections with the natural heritage of Castlewellan Historic Demesne.
  3. Key Stage 2
    Our Key Stage 2 programme is truly a classroom without walls. Expect your group to explore the wonders of the park whilst learning about what makes Castlewellan’s natural and built heritage unique. All sessions are interactive and involve hands-on learning and games.
  4. Key Stage 3
    Our Key Stage 3 programme delves deeper into the mysteries of Castlewellan Historic Demesne. Expect your group to explore the little-known areas of the Annesley Walled Garden and Arboretum and, through hands-on activities, discover how the legacy of past occupants have shaped the landscape they see today.
