As part of the exciting Castlewellan Historic Demesne project, supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, we’re giving all the interpretation and wayfinding signage throughout Castlewellan Forest Park a fresh new look!

One of the highlights of this revamp is updating the large panoramic panel at the heart of the Peace Maze – the one that showcases and labels the spectacular Mourne Mountains visible from that very spot. We can’t wait to bring this iconic viewpoint to life with a brand-new design that captures the magic of the landscape!

We’re on the lookout for a stunning, (high-resolution) image of the Mournes as seen from the centre of the Peace Maze – a view that will become a key feature of an exciting new interpretation panel launching this summer!

While we’ve found an image that’s almost perfect (featured above) but its resolution isn’t quite high enough for the large panoramic format we’re creating.

Your Chance to Feature at the Heart of the Peace Maze!

The selected image will be proudly credited to the photographer – a chance to have your work celebrated in one of the Mournes’ most iconic locations!
