About

The Mews are 18th century stable conversions overlooking Strangford Lough. We are a two minute walk from Simmy Bay, an inlet of Strangford Lough. Situated in a designated Area of Outstanding  Natural Beauty, in the heart of County Down.

Our accommodation is a perfect setting for those who want to holiday and relax whilst exploring the beautiful countryside or those visiting family and friends.

Taggart Cottage is one of 2 cottages aptly named after Islands on Strangford Lough, the cottage can sleep up to 6 guests. There are an addtional 3 adjoining units each have their own private entrances.

A short drive away takes you to the  ancient town of Downpatrick, the resting place of St Patrick. Also nearby are the quaint villages of Strangford & Portaferry and some of Ireland’s most stunning beaches including Tyrella and Newcastle.

We are also located on the popular Route 22 cycle route, with free secure storage for bikes.
