Hanna's Close Holiday Cottages

About

As part of the Aspiring Geopark Spring Festival 2022 roll up your sleeves and get covered in flour when you join in the fun of traditional bread making in the heart of the Mournes.

The tradition of breadmaking is engrained in the homemakers of Mourne. Hanna's Close Clachan dates back to the 1600s when the gridle would have been hung on the Crook and Crane. Join Ruth as she tells the story of her Granny's griddle and of the generations who have used it. What's better than a warm piece of "Slim" with the butter running off it?
