About
François Ozon directs this delicious comedy caper set in 1930s with overt nods to the #MeToo movement. Madeleine (Nadia Tereszkiewicz), a penniless would-be stage star, is seen storming out of the villa of an odious producer who has just tried to make inappropriate advances on her. Later she discovers this predatory creep has been murdered and she is instantly and wrongly suspected of the crime. But Madeleine's lawyer-roommate Pauline (Rebecca Marder) cooks up a cheeky plan to plead guilty for all the publicity it will court.
