Sunday Sessions at Killeavy Castle

Killeavy Castle Estate, 12 Ballintemple Road, Killeavy, County Armagh, BT35 8LQ
Sunday Sessions at Killeavy Castle

About

Traditionally, Irish music sessions were held in the kitchens of local family homes. These homes, affectionately known as céilí houses, were often bustling with large musical families and welcomed a constant flow of fellow musicians. Tunes were plentiful, and the craic was definitely mighty.

We extend a warm invitation to join us in our original kitchen at Killeavy Castle. Fainne Music will transport you with the lively beats of a ballad and the customary rhythms of a fiddle, all while savouring a drop of Irish whiskey, a refreshing pint of Guinness, or a comforting cup of tea. From the moment you settle into a chair, your foot will be tapping to the infectious melodies and the rhythmic beats of the bodhrán.

Join us for Slow Roast Sunday in the hotel before a riveting evening of traditional music in our stunning 19th-century castle.
