About

St Patrick's Day Parades will be the centre of celebrations in Newry City and Downpatrick on St Patrick’s Day.

Led by Saint Patrick himself, the St Patrick's Day Parade in Newry City on Monday 17 March 2025 will offer a feast for eyes and ears as swirling dancers, community floats and costumed characters entertain the crowds.

St Patrick's Festivities will be happening in Newry City from 12noon to 4pm on St Patrick's Day.

What time does the St Patrick's Parade start in Newry City?

In Newry City, the St Patrick's Day Parade departs from Albert Basin at 1pm and will proceed along Merchants Quay, Sugar Island, ending at The Mall.

The are plenty of St Patrick's festivities planned for Newry City including the St Patrick's Day Parade, live music, dance, family friendly entertainment zone, ceili, climbing wall and family activities at Newry and Mourne Museum. See details and locations below:

Festive activities at Newry and Mourne Museum for St Patrick's Day.

 

Margaret Square - Dance Exhibition, Ceili Marquee and Kids Zone 

12 - 4pm Kids arts and Crafts in the Kids Zone tent

12noon – 4pm Open Ceilidh dance for all with Oisin McCann Ceilidh Band called by Raymond Carroll and other guests

Also catch Sharon Carroll performing her beautiful harp ensemble in The Quays Shopping Centre and Casino Dixieland Jazz Band in Buttercrane Shopping Centre.
