About

Jaws- Outdoor Screening

NCC have team up with Film Hub NI in association with their BFI Spotlight initiative and are delighted to bring you a double bill of Open Air Cinema Screenings in Newcastle this Summer.

What better way to while away a summer afternoon than basking in the sun watching movies on the popping bright leviathan LED screen. NCC is shipping out to Newcastle Promenade for a searching-for-a-fish double bill! So grab your picnic baskets, blankets, outdoor gear and chairs and come and enjoy the magic of the movies at our outdoor summer screening of Finding Jaws…

When a young woman is killed by a shark while skinny-dipping near the New England tourist town of Amity Island, police chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) wants to close the beaches, but mayor Larry Vaughn (Murray Hamilton) overrules him, fearing that the loss of tourist revenue will cripple the town. Ichthyologist Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and grizzled ship captain Quint (Robert Shaw) offer to help Brody capture the killer beast, and the trio engage in an epic battle of man vs. nature.
