About

As part of the Aspiring Geopark Spring Festival 2022 come join us at Killowen Distillery and hear how we are restoring pride and reviving the ancient tradition of poitín making through centuries-old Irish recipes.

Learn the truths and secrets behind poitín and poitín makers and exactly what differentiates this spirit from others.

Experience the ceremony of a simple ancient Irish recipe with chef Paul Cunningham, alumni of the Great British Menu, by setting locally caught herring alight with poitín so that it flame-grills!

Inclusions:
• Approx. 3 x 50ml servings of Killowen poitín.
• Tasting portion of poitín- flamed fish (180g approx.).
• Experience delivered by the Distillery owner and/or Master Distiller and Chef

Gain insights into the herring industry that is native to this part of Ireland.
