A nettle is not something to be feared! Behind the prickly exterior is a plant ready to nourish you. This workshop will untap some of the secrets hidden within nettles and some other of our plentiful wild herbs.
Your guide will be Alison McGrenaghan who specialises in the folklore and historical uses of herbs. She'll bring some samples for you to try and leave you forearmed in how to identify some of Irelands common hedgerow plants and incorporate them into your diet.
Activities are provided FREE through the Re-rooting our past in our future project that is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.
