About

As part of the International Walking Festival Down Cathedral, Down County Museum and the Saint Patrick Centre are delighted to offer a Saint Patrick themed scavenger hunt – for free!

Come and explore these key locations in Downpatrick's history on Saturday 15th June. Follow the trail and uncover the rich heritage of this area and its connection to Saint Patrick.

This family-friendly trail is self-guided, so you can take it at your own (or your little ones') pace.

Explore the Saint Patrick Centre, discovering more about the Saint and untangling legend from truth.
Marvel at some of the spectacular features of the Down Cathedral (and see if you can spot some of the quirkier decorations).
Discover some amazing objects and stories in the Down County Museum collection and discover why we treasure them.

Along the way there's opportunities to think, question, draw, learn and have some fun. And all children who successfully complete the trail can pick up a reward at either the Saint Patrick Centre or Down County Museum reception!

Trails will be available to collect at all three locations, so you can do the trail in any order you like.
