Join Brett Irwin from PRONI as he explores the development of early photography techniques using some fascinating examples from the archives. There will be a strong emphasis on photography in the Castlewellan and Newcastle area i the 19th century as well as further afield. The talk will explore the work of professional and amateur photographers working in Ulster at that time, including the extraordinary, pioneering photography of the 5th Earl Hugh Annesley.
