Afternoon Tea in Montalto House with Tour

About

Feel like a Georgian guest at Montalto House. Your visit will begin with a warm welcome and an introduction to the rich history of Montalto Estate.

Then, in the exquisite Drawing Room you will enjoy an elegant traditional afternoon tea. This will include a selection of delicate finger sandwiches accompanied by freshly baked scones and a variety of handcrafted miniature pastries and sweet treats. These will be enjoyed with our carefully selected loose leaf tea or freshly brewed coffee. After this, you will also be served a selection of homemade delights to complete your afternoon tea experience.

Following this, a guided tour will allow you to explore the grandeur of the 18th century Georgian mansion along with its wonderful collection of original art and antiques. You will move through the main rooms of the house including the rebuilt east wing and the Lady's sitting room with its original plastered ceiling by Robert West, created in 1758. During this time, you will be immersed in the history of Montalto as you hear many interesting and entertaining accounts of what life was like on the estate.
