About

This is an awesome cycling route that explores the foothills of the high Mournes, offering breath taking views across the stunningly rugged countryside towards the main peaks.

The foothills, also known as the Dromara Hills, contain a rich heritage in themselves, offering both natural, built and social insights, all waiting to be unearthed, including not least, the inspiring Legananny Dolmen dating back to circa, 4,000bc.

Stop off for lunch at the Turnip House Craft & Café, enjoy a different pace of life, and see sustainability at work… we strongly recommend the homemade Lemon Drizzle cake!

Allow yourself enough time to explore as this tour provides many tempting options and likewise, don’t be afraid to slow down and stop, a conversation along the way is almost inevitable.
