We currently collect and process the following information:
· We ask to view the photographic ID and proof of address of visitors that wish to obtain a free car parking permit (District residents only) for Council forest parks.
· We record the initials of the Visitor against their registered district household address.
The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you when you show your proof of ID and address at Council’s forest park car park offices or Visitor Information Centres in order to obtain the free forest park parking permit.
We obtain the list of registered District household addresses via Council records for bin collections and rates.
We use the information that you have given us in order to determine whether your residence is within the Newry, Mourne and Down District, so that you can be issued with a free parking permit for one park of your choice.
Your personal information will not be shared with third parties.

Your information is securely stored electronically on Council servers.
At the end of each financial year (31 March) the information will be deleted electronically.
