Rainy Day Fun: Indoor Activities in Mourne Mountains & Ring of Gullion

It has been known to rain in these parts from time to time and spills from the sky can happen quite suddenly. That said, while you should always prepare for showers, full length rainy days are rare. You will almost always get the chance to get out and into much of the great outdoors that Mourne Gullion Strangford have to offer. But if it does decide to pour down for the day, well we have that covered too.

    Pancake Tuesday

Pancake Day is upon us on Tuesday, 13 February so it’s time to get mixing up a good batter!  According to experts, waiting for the bubbles to appear on the upside of your pancake is a sure indication that it is ready to be turned over so it is worth waiting until then before you flip it.

    Family Friendly Walking Trails

For the family that likes to get out, about and into nature, the Mourne Mountains and Ring of Gullion is quite possibly one of the top destinations in the world. Not only does the beauty of the diverse natural landscape encourage exploration and inspire wonder, but the normally benign climate and low population density means the air is always clean and fresh. At the end of your walking day, you will always feel great no matter what mountain track or forest trail your kin choose to take.
