Minnie's Cottage

About

18B Ballintemple Road (Minnie's Cottage) is the original back gate lodge for Killeavy Castle Estate, a charming retreat backed by 350 acres of mixed farm and woodland, near the city of Newry.

With views towards the castle and a superb interior, this outstanding dwelling is perfect for families and groups of people. You are enveloped by the natural beauty on the Ring of Gullion, which straddles the Northern Ireland border with the Republic of Ireland, the ideal location for a rejuvenating holiday.

Feel welcomed to Minnie's Cottage by a bright hallway with two armchairs in which you can relax. Choose to spend your leisure time in the well-appointed living room with a feature wood burning stove, with superb views through the French doors of Slieve Gullion mountain. The garden and patio area are accessed via the French doors and offer a lovely location to relax and enjoy a drink.

The wood effect kitchen presents a fine selection of fittings with integrated modern appliances, allowing you to cook up tasty meals for all to enjoy.

An extra guest can make use of the sofa bed in the living room while the master and twin bedrooms rest just off the hallway, adjoined by a Jack-and-Jill shower ensuite. Each bedroom is well presented to a quality standard with ample storage and matching bedside tables with lamps, the double also having a wall-mounted TV.

The main shower room allows you plenty of time to get ready each morning before you venture out to explore the local area.

Minnie's Cottage provides immediate access to Killeavy Castle Estate with Slieve Gullion Forest Park within easy walking distance. Newry city centre is only a 10 minute drive away and provides ample opportunities for shopping, entertainment, pubs and restaurants.

Minnie's Cottage provides excellent access to both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland (via the A1) with Belfast 40 miles away and Dublin 67 miles away.
