Enniskeen Country House hotel is a mountainside hideaway. The family run hotel rests in the lush Shimna Valley just outside Newcastle County Down. Explore the hotels stunning 12 acre estate and winding woodland trail down to the Shimna river and enjoy the striking views over the Mourne Mountains and sea.

Warm smiles welcome you, wildlife roam the gardens outside, and cosy open fires crackle as you relax in peace and quiet, savour the house’s old world charm and let the world go by.

Accommodation comprises of 12 tastefully furnished rooms many with superb Mourne Mountain views. Drift off to sleep knowing the only sound likely to awaken you is that of morning birdsong.

Enniskeen Country House Hotel has strong ties with the industrial revolution of Northern Ireland – the house was built around 1890 by leading tobacco and shipping rope manufacturer Robert Murray as a private residence.
