Alan Freeburn Museum & Heritage Services Manager, Joanne Cummins Collections Officer with Chairperson Newry, Mourne and Down Council, Councillor Pete Byrne who officially launched a new exhibit at Newry, Mourne and Down Museum where 2 uniforms were unveiled to mark D-Day landings anniversary, one a Royal Artillery Service Dress Tunic worn by Major Gerald Reside an architect and Engineer from Newry, the second a US Army 563rd Motor Ambulance Company blouse and cap c1943 worn by Private First Class James Quinn originally from Tullyframe near Kilkeel.

Museum Unveils Conserved WW2 Uniforms to Mark D-Day Landings Anniversary

To mark the 80^th anniversary of the D-Day landings, two service uniforms worn by local men during World War Two, have now gone on display in Newry and Mourne Museum.
