The Museum is an ideal venue for conferences, meetings or staff development days.
Conferences and Meetings
Located on the top floor of the restored cell block and fully accessible by lift or stairs, we have a large conference room capable of seating 100 people (theatre or lecture style) comfortably. The room can also accommodate 30 people seated around tables in variety of formats. A selection of movable platforms are available for use as well as lecterns (desktop or free-standing), PA system (including loop-system), slide projector, overhead projector, screen, TV, video/dvd, flip chart and PowerPoint system.
A smaller meeting room located downstairs in the restored cell block can accommodate 30 people (theatre or lecture style) comfortably and 15 seated around tables. A large screen can be used for PowerPoint/DVD.
Both conference and meeting rooms are available for hire during museum opening hours and out of hours.

Other Facilities
Guided tours of the Museum galleries and old Gaol are available for groups and can be booked as part of your conference/training day.
Groups or charities might be interested in using the old Gaol as a venue for a sponsored ‘jail break’. Contact us to discuss this.
Staff Training and Development Days
Why not use the old Gaol or the Museum galleries as part of your staff training or development? We can advise on handling activities, trails and challenges you might like to complete as part of a team building exercise.
