Welcome to the learning section of the website where teachers and group leaders can find out more about the Museum’s varied education programmes.
School's Programme
Our schools’ programmes are designed to bring heritage to life for pupils and enable them to engage in active exploration of the world around them.
Newry and Mourne Museum provides school workshops, which are curriculum linked, utilise artefacts from the Museum’s collection, and are based on the history of the area. These workshops ensure that students learn more about the past in an interactive, enjoyable and memorable way.
Outreach Services
Newry and Mourne Museum conducts outreach visits for community groups, nursing homes, and schools when required. These include talks, tours and reminiscence sessions and free use of our nine reminiscence loan boxes.
