About
In this free talk, Dr Victoria Pickering will introduce the botanical objects displayed in Down County Museum as part of the new British Museum Touring Exhibition, 'For the Curious and Interested'. These specimens came from across the world by a huge variety of people with all sorts of knowledge associated with them. The boxes found in this exhibition highlight the extensive stories that can be told with a single object, and this talk with expand to consider all 12,523 'Vegetable Substances' specimens.
