About
Join Lesley Simpson, former Keeper of Collections at Down County Museum, for this talk which will showcase a selection from the wide range of works in the Museum's fine art collection. All have a County Down connection but include paintings and prints of landscapes, both urban and rural, portraits and abstracts as well as sculptural pieces.
Lesley will explain how and why individual works were collected, their significance and how they relate to other parts of the collection.
This event is part of Art History Festival 2024 organised by the Association for Art History.
